Tribute to Jon Hodge

Jon was a fabulously original scholar who shaped my views of the history of evolution. In the days before smart phones, I once found myself having an energetic phone conversation with him about Darwin while I standing in a Berlin phone booth in the pouring rain! Back when Leeds and Durham used to have joint HPS workshops, we continued that conversation, sometimes while riding across the countryside in search of a pub. He will certainly be missed.
