Tribute to Jon Hodge

I met Jon as a superannuated graduate student at an ISH conference. He always treated me with the utmost kindness and respect, offering support, encouragement, and the occasional gentle corrective. He read my work and offered thoughtful, generous, and substantive comments. A truly lovely man. And of course a great scholar. I will miss him.
